About
Sincerely Santa Tampa is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
Since 1987 we have provided toys and clothing to more than 100,000 ‘at risk’ and underprivileged children in Tampa Bay.
Each year, children in grades kindergarten through third, write a ‘Letter to Santa’, describing what they want most for Christmas. Teachers add additional information including: special needs of the child, clothing sizes, and siblings the child may have in the home. The teachers and social workers then select letters of the most needy children and forward them to Sincerely Santa for processing. The next step belongs to you!
After the children’s ‘Letter to Santa’ are reviewed by Sincerely Santa Elves, they are displayed at Westfield Brandon, as well as distributed to our corporate partners. Mall shoppers, corporate employees, civic organizations, and places of worship are asked to become a sponsor by selecting a letter or letters and purchase gifts based on the child’s needs.
It’s up to the sponsor to make the child’s wish come true. Once the unwrapped gifts are returned to the Sincerely Santa booth they are delivered to the child’s home in time for Christmas. Our local law enforcement and fire departments make the deliveries. They donate many hours of their time to ensure that each needy child, and their siblings, who wrote a ‘Letter to Santa’ will not be disappointed at Christmas.
There are other wonderful organizations in the Tampa area that sponsor children during the holiday season. The Sincerely Santa program is unique because each sponsor feels connected in a very special way to the individual child through their letter. If a child’s letter is not sponsored, Sincerely Santa elves purchase gifts with financial contributions made by individuals and corporate partners.
On behalf of the entire Sincerely Santa organization we hope that you will consider sponsoring a child or making a contribution to ensure that every child can celebrate the joys of Christmas.
